Friend always putting us down, please help?

This might sound a bit harsh but your friend "Bri" really doesn't sound like much of a friend at all. Friends do not put friends down, friends treat their friend's families with respect and they treat each other with respect too. Friends have fun together and make each other feel good about themselves. You are obviously growing apart from your friend "Bri" and that is O.K don't feel guilty, it's not your fault, it happens. If I were you I would gradually spend less and less time with her, or if you were totally set on keeping her as a friend then you really need to tell her all of this, and I mean all of it, and give her some sort of ultimatum, If she doesn't start treating you with some respect and if she doesn't stop making it so hard to be her friend, then you just aren't going to be able to spend time with her anymore.
