Whats the middle east issue about?

Ive heard about it since childhood...Bombings, attacks, murders, arrests....Even history has about the crusades taking place in the region....Whats the big issue about?? Cant people just shut the f*** up and go abut living in peace with the others?? Who is the one causing the chaos and hatred???
